ABC’S Active Threat Response Plan
The ABC’S Active Survival training course is designed to provide and empower individuals with option-based survival skills to stay alive until law enforcement arrives, and ultimately survive any violent incident. These are skills that translate to a workplace, school, place of worship, healthcare, shopping mall, or any other location in which an active threat can be a danger. These are high-energy presentations with interactions and demonstrations. We do not use hands-on training or surprise scenarios. The topics covered in this training include Lessons Learned from Prior Events, the Evolution of Law Enforcement Response, Warning Signs, Human Response to Stress, ABC’S Active Threat Response Plan (Avoid, Barricade, Counter, Survive), Bleeding Control, How to React When Law Enforcement Arrives, and Call to Action.
This training will help your company meet the requirements set forth by OSHA to provide the employees with an environment safe from recognized hazards (workplace violence and active shooter). Active Survival is also the only program to meet the new NFPA 3000: Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response Program standard for Public Education.
With over 100 instructors nationwide, active survival is a premier course for surviving active threats. The Active Survival Instructor Course provides participants with all materials needed to conduct Active Survival: ABC’S Active Threat Response Plan training sessions. This 2-day course will prepare everyone, from the rookie presenter to the seasoned instructor, with the skills needed to facilitate this comprehensive training. No prerequisite is needed to attend this course.
Lockdown International will travel to your location and hold an ABC’S Active Survival Instructor Course for your audience. We are available to assist with the advertisement for your class. The minimum number of participants is 10 and the maximum number of participants is 25. The hosting agency will receive complimentary seats in the class based upon the total number of students.
C.P.T.E.D. (Physical Security Assessments)
A C.P.T.E.D. (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) is a multi-disciplinary approach to identify risks, provide a physical inspection of property and landscaping, and review of emergency policies and procedures to ensure maximum safety of your location. A detailed PowerPoint presentation is provided with observations, photographs, employee interviews, and recommendations.
De-escalation training is a course designed to provide individuals with option-based techniques to reduce a person’s agitated state. Both verbal and non-verbal techniques are taught to listen effectively, communicate clearly, and use proper body posturing. Using these techniques effectively can help to resolve emotionally charged situations and mitigate potential violence.
We will conduct a tabletop exercise on your existing Emergency Operating Plan to reveal vulnerabilities currently in it and then we will review and revise it. Your new plan will place emphasis on providing a safer work environment.
Workplace Violence Warning Signs
Workplace Violence Warning Signs teaches option-based skills to recognize, mitigate, and prevent a violent incident. These are skills that translate to a workplace, school, place of worship, healthcare, or any other location in which violence can be a danger. These are high-energy presentations with interactions and demonstrations. We do not use hands-on training or surprise scenarios. The topics covered in this training include Lessons Learned from Prior Events, Warning Signs, Human Response to Stress, Reading Body Language, and Responding Appropriately.
