REPULS Product Guidelines

1. REPULS is not a pepper spray; it is a water-based ocular irritant.
2. Crotega advises against deploying REPULS in close proximity to any pepper spray.
3. Follow all REPULS deployment and post-exposure treatment protocols.

5. Misuse voids Crotega’s liability; consult the T &E video (video link) for manufacturer-recommended testing and evaluation steps.
6. As with any chemical irritant, if symptom persist, seek medical attention.
7. Crotega strongly advises trainers to use only OC/pepper spray, not REPULS, for training on resisting the effects of pepper spray.
8. REPULS is a direct-contact chemical defense spray, avoiding cross-contamination and blowback associated with pepper sprays.
9. In training or evaluation with REPULS, Crotega strongly recommends avoid requiring individuals to open their eyes forcefully or perform skill-based maneuvers.
10. REPULS is designed to be a more humane use of a chemical irritant than pepper spray. REPULS is an ocular irritant that does not impact breathing and is quickly mitigated.
11. Post-exposure treatment is best started once compliance is achieved, using a 16- to 20-ounce bottle of water and sterile saline solution or eye wash to soothe the eyes.
